Nederland, Colorado
July 10-13, 2025
The stories we tell ourselves and the stories we inherit have tremendous power to shape us. And while we can’t change what has happened to us, we can change how we interpret those stories by looking at what happened with love and compassion. There, we discover the truth that our deepest nature is larger than any of our stories.
Join us for a time of spacious self-reflection, time in nature, guiding questions/exercises, and connecting with others as together we explore ways to reimagine our narratives and glimpse the hidden wholeness in each of our lives. When we do this important individual work, we are also contributing to the collective evolution of humanity.
In addition to the weekend itself, we will be offering one zoom opportunity beforehand to help us prepare and make the most of our time together. After the retreat, we will offer one additional zoom opportunity in the weeks to follow as a way of integrating and deepening what we learned. Recordings of these sessions will be available for those who are not able to attend.

Spanish cuisine invites you to savor bold and hearty flavors, whether the fragrant saffron-infused paella or the playful variety of tapas. Sharing tapas over lively conversation is a cherished tradition that reflects Spain’s vibrant social culture.

Middle Eastern cuisine takes your palate on an adventure through fragrant spices and fresh ingredients. Indulge in creamy hummus, crisp falafel, and smoky baba ghanoush served with warm pita bread. Prayers of gratitude are inspired by this feast.
At 7:00 AM, we begin with a gentle entry into the day through neurofeedback and meditation. These sessions will start short and gradually deepen into continuous, immersive experiences, designed to rewire patterns and awaken presence. We will be there, guiding and holding the space energetically, helping you drop beneath surface noise into a direct experience of peace.
After a nourishing breakfast, we dive into a potent morning lecture from a carefully chosen teacher whose wisdom mirrors the day's theme. These teachings serve as gentle signposts—reminders that your awakening is not only possible but already unfolding.
At 11:00 AM, we step onto the mat for Hridaya Hatha Yoga, a meditative movement practice that opens the body and quiets the mind. We will move with you, demonstrating how we embody stillness in motion. The yoga flows effortlessly into a silent meditation, where your inner stillness deepens further.
Day 3 – Exploring Collective Stories
On this day, you’ll rise to a breakfast that fuels your body and
spirit. The focus will shift towards reimagining collective stories,
inviting you to consider the narratives shared by communities and cultures. During our session, you’ll uncover the interconnectedness of these stories and their impact on your life. Following a period of self-reflection, the afternoon will offer space for personal activities, encouraging you to absorb the morning’s revelations. As the day concludes, an evening session will invite you to integrate and deepen your insights, preparing you for the final day of transformation.
Day 4 – Beyond the Story
The final morning will offer a breakfast that prepares you for the
culminating experiences of the retreat. In our closing session, you’ll explore the concept of moving beyond the story, embracing the wholeness that lies beneath the narratives. A break will provide a moment to process these profound insights. The closing circle will offer a sacred space to share reflections and express gratitude, weaving together the threads of your journey. As you gather for a farewell lunch, you’ll carry with you the tools and understanding to continue reimagining your story beyond these nurturing mountains.
We've designed this space for seekers like you, and we will walk alongside you, guiding, supporting, listening, and witnessing.

Elizabeth is forged by the Christ tradition, the mystic path and her own living communion with the Divine, drawn to walk the edges of what is known. Elizabeth’s embrace of all that is, including suffering and pain, with a radical, expansive love opens within her a spacious place of healing and wholeness. Her radiance is contagious, permeating her work as priest, spiritual guide and intuitive healer. Throughout her life and career, Elizabeth Jameson has been committed to nurturing spiritual growth, fostering community, and saying ‘yes’ to love by putting Christ and Christ’s love at the center. Elizabeth has a Master of Divinity from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary and is a graduate of Harvard University. For nearly twenty years, Elizabeth’s active ministry included leading parishes as an Associate Rector or Rector and serving as Chief Operating Officer of an Episcopal Seminary. In 2016-2018, Elizabeth participated in the Living School through the Center for Action and Contemplation, led by the faculty Richard Rohr, Cynthia Bourgeault and James Finley. She experienced her first Vision Quest in 2018 in the silence of the southern Colorado wilderness, returning to support others over the years. Engagement with nature, wisdom teachers, mystics, a commitment to spiritual practice and community are the grounding for her life and ministry. Today, she lives in beautiful Estes Park, Colorado with her beloved husband, Jim, and precious black lab, Bailey. She is grateful for her son and bonus son, a large extended family and dear friends spread throughout the country. Delights include hiking in the mountains, traveling in their travel trailer and spending time with friends and family.
Not long ago, Reverend Ian Cummins came across a small spiral notebook from his middle school days, where he had attempted to answer the question, “What is the meaning of life?” Forty-five years later, he admits he may not be much closer to an answer, but he remains deeply passionate about the question. Between then and now, Ian studied business in college and began his career in a management trainee program at a large company. He quickly realized it wasn’t for him. A year spent in South Africa prompted a profound reevaluation of his path, leading him, somewhat unexpectedly, to seminary, where he earned a Master of Divinity. Yes, that’s a real degree, though, as he likes to point out, it doesn’t actually make one more divine. It did, however, qualify him to become a pastor, a role he took on (reluctantly at first) and served in for two decades at a vibrant, dynamic Presbyterian church in Denver. It was a meaningful chapter of life for both Ian and his wife, who had once insisted on a promise that he not become a pastor, and together they raised two children in that community. The experience challenged and shaped him in ways he never anticipated. In May of 2024, Ian stepped away from traditional ministry to explore new callings. Today, his work centers on helping people live more attuned toand more trusting of, the great Mystery that surrounds us all. While it may not be the same as knowing the meaning of life, he suspects it might actually be something even better.
